AI clipper pricing and cost per VOD hour

Credits, minutes and caps, translated into what a stream costs.

AI clipper pricing is hard to compare because tools charge for different things: source minutes, finished clips, generations or a flat fee with length caps. This page is a directory that explains those billing units and sends you to the page that does the arithmetic. Prices are checked as of 8 November 2026 and change often.

The four billing units

Per source minute. The tool charges credits for the length of the video you upload or import, whatever it produces. A 4-hour stream is 240 minutes, so a long VOD is costly on these tools even if you want only three clips. OpusClip, Vizard and quso.ai are described this way on their pricing and help pages, which the cost per VOD hour page works through.

Per clip. The tool charges for what it produces. Klap is the clearest example in our sources. The risk is a source-length cap rather than the bill: check how long a video the plan accepts.

Per generation. Common for thumbnail tools such as Pikzels, where each generated image costs credits. See Pikzels pricing.

Flat with length caps. A subscription that does not meter minutes but limits video length, as with Streamlabs Ultra. If your stream exceeds the cap the price is irrelevant, because the stream cannot be processed there.

Many tools mix these. Submagic combines credits for features with caps on video length, so its pricing page separates the two paths.

Credits are not all alike

Credit rules include details that change the real cost. As of 8 November 2026, OpusClip’s credit help article says monthly-plan credits expire in 60 days and yearly-plan credits last 12 months. A “from” price may be a yearly rate shown per month. Always find out whether the figure you see is monthly or annual billing before comparing two tools.

Which pricing page to read

  1. You want a number for your own streams. Use cost per VOD hour, then the VOD cost calculator page for the method and a worked example.
  2. You have one tool in mind. Read its page: OpusClip, Submagic, StreamLadder or Pikzels.
  3. You want to know what changed. The price change log records a baseline from 8 November 2026 and the changes that vendor pages or dated captures show, with how future changes will be logged.

What this section does not do

It does not rank tools by value, because value depends on clip quality and nothing has been measured yet. It also reports conflicts and gaps instead of filling them: where a vendor’s pricing page could not be read as text, or two vendor pages disagree, the page says so and tells you where to look. Before you pay, confirm the price on the vendor’s own checkout page.
