Munch AI review: product status and what to use
Munch AI review: GetMunch is now Munch Studio, an AI social media service. What its docs confirm, what former users should do, and who should skip it.
The short verdict of this Munch AI review: the getmunch.com domain now redirects to Munch Studio, which presents itself as an AI social media service, and a streamer has little reason to shortlist it. Nothing Munch publishes mentions Twitch, Kick or gameplay, and its cheapest plan is $68 a month, or $38 billed yearly, as of 8 November 2026. Former users have a more pressing job, covered below: get their files out and find out what happened to their plan.

This page records what Munch’s site, help centre, terms and privacy notice state and what they leave out. All of it was read on 8 November 2026.
What happened to Munch
Munch and GetMunch appear to be the same business, according to Munch’s own site data. The organisation data embedded in the pricing page lists “GetMunch” among the company’s alternate names and says “The getmunch.com domain redirects to munchstudio.com.” The redirect itself is easy to confirm: getmunch.com/pricing lands on munchstudio.com/pricing. The terms name the operator as Munch Content Platform Ltd.
Munch describes the product on its homepage as “The AI that does your social media marketing for you.” The homepage and pricing page text we fetched do not use the word clip, although the pricing plans meter “Video Repurposing” minutes. That is a fair warning to anyone arriving here for a clipper.
Three things remain unresolved after reading those pages:
- Whether a separate old clipper still exists. The homepage starts with your business website and ends with approved posts. The help centre still documents a clip workflow. We cannot tell from outside an account whether those are one product or two.
- Whether old accounts, plans, prices or unused credits carried over. No page we read mentions them.
- Whether anything was discontinued. No Munch page we read says so, and we do not say so either.
What the clip workflow looks like in Munch’s help centre
Munch’s help centre is the best public description of the clipping feature, because the marketing pages barely cover it. The Navigating Around the App article describes this sequence:
- Press the plus button or Create New, then pick the platforms you want clips for, up to two.
- Add a video by link or file upload. The article says to make sure videos are public.
- Choose a subtitle template.
- Title the project, pick an option under Describe your source video, optionally set a clip length, and click Munch It!
- Wait for an email. The project card then appears with SEO analytics at the top and clips below.
- Open a clip to edit subtitles, drag the timeline, switch on manual cropping, or use Magic Posts for platform captions. Export sends the clip to a social account or your device.
Other articles add detail. The coherence score has five levels, Fair to Excellent, and rates how well a clip works as a self-contained message. Re-Munch regenerates a batch if you change at least one setting: platforms, clip lengths or aspect ratios. Extend clip adds up to 30 seconds at the start or end. Another article says clips are built using data from the platforms you select.
Two cautions apply. Every help article we opened shows the same date, 24 September 2026, so the date does not prove each one was reviewed then, and we cannot confirm these screens match the current app. Also, no help article, nor the homepage, pricing page or terms, contains the words Twitch, Kick, facecam, gameplay or gaming.
Reasoning, not a result: a score built around whether a clip conveys a message on its own favours moments carried by speech. A silent clutch or a visual gag may rank poorly or go unselected, so judge the output on your own footage rather than by the score.
Munch Studio plans, as of 8 November 2026
Munch’s pricing page lists four plans, each starting with a 7-day free trial. The yearly prices for Studio and Scale did not appear in the text we could fetch, so they are left out. Prices are shown with a “$” sign; the terms say the final charge appears in local currency at payment.
| Plan | Month to month | Billed yearly (per month) | Brands | Repurposing minutes a month | Generated videos a month | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $68 | $38 ($456 a year) | 1 | 500 | 10 | 100 GB |
| Premium | $85 | $60 ($720 a year) | 1 | 1,000 | 30 | 1 TB |
| Studio | $148 | Not shown in the text we fetched | Up to 5 | 2,500 | 50 | 400 GB |
| Scale | $398 | Not shown in the text we fetched | Up to 15 | 7,500 | 150 | 1 TB |
Essential allows one team member, the owner, and five video scripts a week. The other plans list unlimited team members and scripts. Pricing is organised around brands, which suits agencies and small businesses rather than one streamer with one channel.
An illustration from those figures only: a 4-hour VOD is 240 minutes, so Essential’s 500 minutes would cover two such VODs with 20 minutes left, at $68 a month or about $34 per VOD. That holds only if minutes count source length, which the page does not state. It also does not say what happens to unused minutes. Its FAQ list includes “What happens when I hit a usage limit?”, but we could not read the answer.
The help centre lists seven supported languages: English (US and UK), German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Russian. Publishing targets on the pricing page are Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.
Terms that matter before you upload a VOD
Munch’s terms and privacy notice answer several questions older reviews skip. The terms were last updated 12 July 2026.
- Ownership. “You will retain all of the ownership rights in your Content.” You grant Munch a licence to use it in connection with the Services, for the term of the subscription.
- AI training. The terms say Munch “will not train its AI models on any personal data that is not publicly available”, and also that you agree to “Munch’s use of your Content to train the AI systems used thereby, solely for providing the designated Services to you.” Read both together, and ask Munch if footage of other people is involved. The privacy notice adds that AI features may use third-party providers, and that communications synced from connected accounts are not used to train third-party foundation models.
- Third-party material. The acceptable-use rules bar posting third-party copyrighted material without a licence or permission. You also warrant that you have the rights to everything you upload, which matters for game footage, music in a VOD and guests on stream.
- Trial. The terms say you may be required to give payment details, and the help centre says the trial converts to a paid plan if you do nothing.
- Refunds. A monthly payment is refundable within 7 days if you did not use Munch Studio in those days. A yearly plan is refundable in full within the first 14 days, provided you did not use it after any trial ended, with a calculation at the non-discounted monthly price after that.
What a former GetMunch user should do
If you paid for the old Munch, treat this as a checklist, because nothing we read explains your position.
- Sign in through munchstudio.com and see whether your projects are there. We have no account, so we cannot say whether old logins carry over.
- Download anything you want to keep first. The help article on cancelling says that after cancelling you can still see created posts but cannot download them. It speaks about posts, not clips.
- Use the retrieval window if you have already cancelled. The terms give 30 days after the end of a subscription to request your content and deliverables by emailing [email protected].
- Check which plan and price you are on, and ask support in writing whether unused credits or minutes moved across. Keep the reply.
- Cancel on your own terms if it no longer fits. The cancellation steps are the three dots next to your username, Account Settings, then Cancel plan. Access runs to the end of the paid period, and scheduled posts dated after your plan ends will not publish.
- Check your card statement for the billing name, since the product name has changed and a renewal may look unfamiliar. The terms say subscriptions renew automatically.
Who might shortlist Munch Studio
- A small business or agency that wants a content service across several brands, with repurposing as one input.
- A video team with interviews or podcasts that also wants scheduled posts and carousels from one subscription.
Who should not buy it
- Streamers who need a documented Twitch or Kick link importer, since neither is mentioned.
- Anyone who wants only a clipper, since the homepage and pricing page describe a social media service and do not mention clipping.
- Solo creators on a budget. The cheapest month-to-month plan is $68, and much of what it includes is post and carousel generation a streamer may not use.
- Anyone relying on an older review of the clipping tool, because the product’s scope has changed.
For clippers with documented import lists, see AI clip makers, the long-VOD roundup or OpusClip alternatives.
What to check in a free trial on one of your own VODs
- Is there a screen where a long video goes in, and does it match the help article’s steps?
- Does it accept a Twitch or Kick link, or only a public link or file? What is the largest file?
- How are repurposing minutes counted, and when do they reset?
- Are trial exports watermarked? No page we read says.
- Do clips keep facecam and gameplay in a vertical layout, and do captions cover the HUD?
- Set a reminder before day 7, and read the terms before uploading footage you do not own.
The relationship between the old clipper and Munch Studio is still unresolved, and this page will be rewritten if the product’s scope is confirmed; see corrections and updates and our methodology. More reviews are in reviews.
Last checked 8 November 2026. Prices and limits change; we re-check monthly.
Not tested yet
What a real test of this would need. None of it has been run.
- Owner-licensed or own gaming VOD, exact tool plan and version logged, raw outputs archived, clips scored by blind rater against the published rubric
